West Lancashire Mark No. 65 Does A Double
 
At the regular meeting of the West Lancashire Mark Lodge No.65 on Wednesday September 5th held at the Masonic Hall Hope Street, Liverpool two candidates were Advanced.
 
The Lodge was opened by the Worshipful Master Bro. Mark Lawrence, there eighteen members and guests present including WBro. M. J. Winterbottom PGSD the Provincial Grand Master’s Special Representative. The Worshipful Master requested WBro. Richard F. Wilson PGSt’dB. to assist him and honour the Lodge by taking the chair for the Advancement ceremony. WBro Wilson then Advanced the two candidates Bro. John Shaw hailing from Ancient Briton Lodge No.1675 and Bro. Alan Ray hailing from Childwall Lodge No.5235. On the conclusion of the Ceremony both candidates were congratulated and welcomed into the Mark Degree, presented with the usual documents and a letter of welcome from the Provincial Grand Master.

The Ceremony brought back memories as I Advanced the present Worshipful Master Bro. Mark Lawrence in a double ceremony when I was Master of the Lodge.
